Autumn
As Camano Jake moves quietly across a field of oversized, sun-washed flowers, his form built from layered mixed media that give the feathers a soft, iridescent depth. Subtle green and violet tones shimmer through the dark plumage, contrasted by a bright blue eye that brings the bird to life. From his beak hangs a delicate silver chain, ending in a small faceted gem that catches the light like a found treasure.
The background is rich with texture—fabric, paint, and metallic accents blend into warm golds, browns, and muted oranges, evoking the feeling of late autumn and fading blooms. The interplay of natural imagery and ornamental detail creates a quiet sense of wonder, as if the Camano Jake is both a wanderer and a keeper of secrets.
This piece invites close viewing, revealing a balance between wildness and elegance, and celebrating the beauty of small, luminous moments hidden within the natural world.
As with all my art, each piece is based on a fabric background. Some pieces may be similar but never identical with each piece being an original.
